Woke up at around 5.30am, couldnt sleep, guess was too excited about the event. Took my own sweet time to get ready as i thought was too early since i have to be at plab at 7am. Had cereal for breakfast, then left home at around 6.30am. Headed for Shell to pump tyres, making sure its super hard for that extra power, and then all the way to paya lebar airbase assembly area. Took me 20mins to reach there. There were a lot a lot of ppl already assembled there at 7am. I was like... wat the.... so early still gt so many ppl when the event starts at 8am. I tot tat i wud be among the first.
Flag off time was at 8.30am, since we haf to wait for the VIPs as usual. so ma fan, gotta wait for them.
And then it was, the challenge for shimano endurance has started, 45km on the runway. There was headwinds which means the wind is blowing against my direction, causing the extra drag, and extra energy needed to push myself forward.
I took off at medium, didnt blast my afterburners. hahah, else will be totally shagged off by the 2 lap. i was kinda surprised tat i took 1hr to finish 30km. However the last 15km took me 45mins. my thighs were too pain to power up. However it was a new record for me. the first time i participated in this challenge took me 2hrs+, second time was 1h50mins, and this 3rd time was 1h45mins!!! I thought i wud take more than 2hrs, even 2.5hrs to finish 45kmm since the day b4 at ecp took me 2.5 hrs to cycle 46km with many breaks in between, and moreover, I have gained weight since hols, causing the even more extra drag.
Was kinda surprised tat i could break my own record.
After the challenge, stayed back for the carnival, watched my F16D Block 52. Admired the bicycles on display, really beautiful!! omg
